The Richer Model
The RICHER Model, developed by Dr. Uzo Nwankpa in New Zealand in 2015, is a complementary wellness system designed to enhance the wellbeing of health providers and individuals alike. It integrates key components of wellbeing into a holistic framework. Nwankpa drew on concepts from nursing, integrative medicine, indigenous ways of being and unitary caring science.
The RICHER Model emphasizes a structured process that includes reflective practice, integrative practice, choreography, and evaluation to ensure a comprehensive approach to wellbeing.
